Hi! I’m Judy Rigby. Welcome to my website where you’ll find some of my writings, musings and scratchings.
Ordained as a Christian minister in 1994, I’ve had a varied working life, which includes admin, customer service, Christian ministry and pastoral care work in public hospitals. I resigned from the church in 2011 thinking my work as a parish minister was done, but in 2015 I was surprised to find myself drawn back in. I’m now in a part time placement as a minister for the Uniting Church in Australia, working in the Melbourne suburbs of Airport West and Keilor East.
I’m also a writer. In 2014, I completed a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing and now write sermons and liturgies, short stories, and content for this blog. I have begun a non-fictional work titled Images of Mercy and have included some of the earlier work on the blog. I have three novels underway, two of which have been put aside for the third.
I am married to John, who’s also an ordained minister. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. We live in the western suburbs of Melbourne at Melton South.
